Changing environments

As patients go about their busy days, their eyes may adjust to new environments. A full day of activities, with an increased number of changing environments can destabilize the tear film.0 ACUVUE OASYS® Brand Contact Lenses 1-Day with HydraLuxe Technology have a tear-infused lens with an enhanced network of tear-like molecules that help deliver a superior experience throughout the day.

Innovative Technology

ACUVUE OASYS® Brand 1-Day uses EYE-INSPIRED™ Design and HydraLuxe™ Technology.
This exclusive technology provides exceptional comfort for patients in demanding environments. The lens has an enhanced network of tear-like molecules that mimic mucins to help support a stable tear film and also helps with feelings of tired eyes and dryness. HydraLuxe™ Technology is tear infused, which includes 3 key features.

Uniform tear-like network throughout the entire lens; not just a coating

Working consistently all day; not blink released

Integrating key tear-like components; not just water

Natural tear film

The key functions of a stable tear film are minimizing friction and moisturizing the surface of the eye.

Ratings & Reviews

**59% of patients experienced an overall decline in lens performance throughout the day.

***Class 1: Must transmit less than 10% (<10%) of UVA and 1% (<1%) of UVB. UV-blocking percentages are based on an average across the wavelength spectrum.

† Helps protect against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye.

WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long-term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders. Consult your eye care practitioner for more information.

Statistical superiority on Comfort, Vision, and Handling composite scores achieved using the Contact Lens User Experience (CLUE) questionnaire, a validated patient-reported outcomes (PRO) tool. In two separate, randomized, masked, crossover clinical studies (2015, n=119 (Vision & Handling) and 2016, n=276 (Comfort)) patients were randomly assigned ACUVUE OASYS® with HydraLuxe Technology or Dailies Total1® the first week and switched to wearing the other lens the second week. Lenses were worn as daily disposable on both eyes.

4 Study was a masked, randomized, bilateral crossover study, where patients were randomly assigned ACUVUE OASYS® with Hydraluxe™ Technology or Dailies Total1® the first week and switch to wearing the other lens the second week. Lenses were worn as daily disposables on both eyes, for approximately one week. After wearing both lenses, patients were asked to rate their preference across a variety of attributes.

ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses are indicated for vision correction. As with any contact lens, eye problems, including corneal ulcers, can develop. Some wearers may experience mild irritation, itching or discomfort. Lenses should not be prescribed if patients have any eye infection, or experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness or other eye problems. Why are we replacing UPP?

We are discontinuing UPP in order to renew and continue our commitment to advocate for the doctor-patient relationship and against legislation that threatens to deregulate the industry and undermine patient health.

We introduced UPP in 2014, and today a majority of patients are paying less for their ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses than two years ago. Since 2014, there have also been significant legal and legislative challenges to UPP across the country that are distracting our focus on emerging issues that could lead to deregulation of contact lenses. Proponents of deregulation advocate for harmful policies, such as online prescribing of contact lenses and extending contact lens prescription expiration limits. Opposing these efforts requires our undivided attention.

Our new ACUVUE® Rewards Program replaces UPP and provides similar benefits—affordability, access, and patient retention.
